Information

POSEIDONE (Promotion of green and blue infrastructures dedicated to a new environment) is a strategic project funded under the Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia Programme 2021–2027 and implemented in the coastal area of the Northern Adriatic between Chioggia and the Slovenian coast. The project has a total budget of EUR 4,375,000, of which EUR 3,500,000 is provided by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The POSEIDONE project aims to promote the protection of nature and biodiversity, strengthen green and blue infrastructure and the Natura 2000 network, support the sustainable management of protected areas, reduce pressures exerted by human and tourism activities on coastal ecosystems, preserve and enhance biodiversity in agricultural environments, and improve landscape quality. The project also includes activities for monitoring habitats and the effects of climate change, actions aimed at protecting coastal environments, and the development of shared strategies for the sustainable and integrated management of the cross-border area.
